Before it was In-home, it was Close to Home
Thousands of our customers have benefited from the effectiveness of the infrared heaters in their Clearlight® Infrared Sauna model, but this story starts with one customer in particular.
Many years ago, I received a call from a man very worried about his wife. She had been diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia, an extremely debilitating disease. After rounds of treatments with doctors and practitioners, she was exhausted physically, emotionally and financially. Racked with relentless pain throughout her body—she hardly slept at night, could only walk with great effort, and could feel pain in every hair follicle on her head. A force in the publishing industry, and lover of gardening and cooking—now only able to work a few hours per week by phone from a chair in her house.
A Simple Phone Call Became a Call to Action
At the time, we were not sure if we could help as we had no direct experience with fibromyalgia. To do nothing would be unthinkable, but we couldn’t offer false hope. We offered to let them use a new sauna for two months, delivered and set up at no charge with no obligation whatsoever at any time—we simply were hoping to provide a solution.
Beacon of Light
After just two weeks, he called back, overjoyed and brimming with good news. His wife was sleeping better now, sometimes through the whole night. She had much less pain and her spirits had also improved. The sauna experiment became a sauna routine, and in due time, she went into almost total remission. The sauna became her sanctuary of health and she was able to return to work and hobbies full time. In their words: “We are convinced, beyond a doubt, of the efficacy of the infrared sauna.”

Widely considered one of the early pioneers in infrared sauna technologies, Dr. Duncan is a Board-Certified Doctor of Chiropractic with a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College and his doctorate from Life West Chiropractic College. He started Clearlight more than 25 years ago, and today holds numerous patents related to technologies for healing the human body.
